In the last session we added information on TLS/SSL and added a few items to the guide roadmap.
In a nutshell, a wildcard SSL is highly recommended to secure your network, especially on the login/administration pages and when accepting customer payment details.
EV SSL certificates offer extended validation and are more onerous to buy, but can increase trust.
An EV SSL certificate isn’t required, but might be worth considering to increase trust if you have a high price or if it’s meaningful to your target customer. Some hosting environments have trouble installing a wildcard SSL and EV SSL on the install, so double-check before buying one.
Lastly, we added some future items to the table of contents as our pseudo product roadmap. Here we’ll start getting into the fun stuff of setting up user and site provisioning, recommended plugins for functionality and more. If you have any questions or suggestions for the guide roadmap let us know.
